Meet Heidi
I started It's In The Details Ltd because I saw too many small business owners feeling overwhelmed and confused by their finances. They wanted to do the right thing, but the tax system felt like a foreign language.
Heidi's story
I get it. Running a business is hard enough without feeling like you're constantly behind on compliance or making decisions in the dark. That's why I take a different approach.
Instead of just doing your tax returns and sending you on your way, I teach you what you need to know. I explain the why behind the numbers. I help you build systems that work for you, not against you.
My goal isn't to create dependency. It's to give you the knowledge and confidence to take control of your business finances. If I teach you enough that you don't need me anymore, that's a win.
My background
I started working in accounting in November 2016. Before that I'd always worked in accounts or finance, inside businesses rather than looking in from the outside. So a lot of what you deal with day to day, I've dealt with too.
I've also been a partner in a business, so I know what it's like making decisions alongside other people, and how frustrating that can be.
Why I love working with small businesses
There's something special about helping people build something from the ground up.
Small business owners are some of the most passionate, hardworking people I know. You're willing to take risks, learn new things and put in the work to make your vision real.
But you didn't start your business to become a tax expert. You started it because you're good at what you do and you want to help people.
That's where I come in. I handle the tax and compliance side so you can focus on what you do best. I also make sure you understand what's happening, so you're never in the dark about your own finances.
